“FROM GRASS TO GRACE”

Ayikoru Christine of Alengo cell, Pokea ward, Ayivu division, Arua City, Uganda. Became a parent as a teenager, who was left with the sole responsibility of raising a child after the baby daddy isolated them.
As a teenager with zero experience of motherhood, she had to endure the turbulence, including working as a house help in different homes. Given that she grew up as an orphan with her old grand mother, she didn’t have the opportunity of having parental love and guidance, not even support to attain proper education.
The young single mother had to always abandon her comfort zone, in order to make sure that the daughter has food to eat and go to school, by the grace of God, the daughter has been able to reach primary six. Honey Stream Ministries (NGO) stepped up to give her financial aid that she used for starting up a business, where she is thriving in well at the moment and she reckons that she has gained stability.
